Florida’s weather is unpredictable. And that caused a problem for the Buccaneers’ coaches and ownership. While practicing in the harsh elements is a home-field advantage for the Bucs, inclement weather often required the team to board busses, often after significant delays, to practice at USF or Tropicana Field. After deciding to move forward with an indoor practice facility, Buccaneers’ Ownership selected Ellison Construction to complete the work because of our ability to meet deadlines and exceed expectations. And they made the right choice. We delivered the project on time, despite a hurricane and compressed schedule, and the team was able to host fans indoors, creating a gameday atmosphere during training camp.

NEVER MISS A PRACTICE

The metal building utilizes over 270 large window panels to bring sunlight into the facility while leaving extreme heat and storms outside – a must-have for Florida summers. The design is elevated further by the landscaping, including a small pond, and a spirited walkway lined with 20 flag poles sporting large, Buccaneer flags. While the primary use is to provide the best indoor facilities so the team never misses a practice, the space, with its 18,000 SF of event space, is used frequently for walkthroughs and events for the VIPs, sponsors, and fans.
